The Promise of His Presence
Our theme for this Lent is The Promise of His Presence. God promised He would be present to us in the Old Testament. His presence was made tangible in Jesus Christ especially in the Gospel readings this Lent. He was present to Peter, James, and John in the transfiguration, to the woman at the well, to the blind man, and to Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. His presence is a promise that He continues to fulfill today. We have hope this Lent, in the Promise of His Presence, made tangible in the sacramental life, especially the Eucharist, as he journeys with us through the desert of life to new life in Him.
