This campaign raises money to donate age-appropriate gifts and turkeys with all the trimmings to the local needy at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Each Friday at 5:00 pm, a hot meal is served to the poor and homeless of Baltimore at St. Vincent de Paul Church. The number of guests who join us at this meal range from about 175 to 325, increasing each week of the month. Additionally, guests are provided with clothing, blankets, backpacks, socks, toiletries, and a take-out bag containing water, fruit, and snacks. Did you know that the Holy Name Society is open to both adult men and women? Would you like to enhance your spiritual journey and contribute to your parish, while enjoying the support and companionship of your like-minded Catholic parishioners? Then consider becoming a member of the Holy Name Society (HNS). The HNS exists to promotes reverence for the sacred names of God and Jesus Christ, obedience and loyalty to the Catholic Church, and the personal sanctification and holiness of its members. Our HNS worships together on the second Sunday of the month at the 8:30AM mass which is followed by a spiritual presentation and short business meeting. We are usually finished by 11AM. The Knights of Columbus are Catholic men of faith and charitable action. The newly formed Knights of Columbus Council at Our Lady of the Fields in Millersville has been named the William E. Baldwin, Sr. Council. We are a Catholic family fraternal organization that provides support to our priests, the Church, seminarians, and the community. We are also a pro-life organization that participates in charitable efforts in the community and reaches out to the needy and underserved in our area. Learn more about our council.
Mustard Seed Communities (MSC) is an international Catholic nonprofit dedicated to caring for the most vulnerable populations throughout the developing world. MSC began in 1978 as a home for a handful of children with disabilities who had been abandoned to the streets of Jamaica. Today, MSC provides loving and lifelong care to over 600 children and adults with disabilities, children affected by HIV/AIDS, and young mothers in crisis across Jamaica, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.
Offers counseling and education to women facing unplanned or problem pregnancies. Located in Glen Burnie, they are seeking daytime volunteers. If you are able to give a few hours each week to help women and teens in need or in a crisis pregnancy, please call (410) 761-8082. Volunteer training begins in mid-October. There is also an urgent need for Spanish-speaking volunteers.

Our Daily Bread places empty casserole pans containing recipes in the church vestibules for parishioners to take home and prepare food. The prepared casseroles are returned to the freezer in the church center. The casseroles are then transported to Our Daily Bread in Baltimore.

As part of Catholic Charities, Sarah’s House is a supportive housing program offering emergency shelter and project-based supportive housing with an array of other services for families experiencing homelessness in Anne Arundel County.
Dinners are prepared twice a month for homeless families living temporarily in Sarah’s House at Ft. Meade. Are you a good cook with a free hour or two each month? The OLF group of volunteers who serve dinner at Sarah’s House on the 3rd Monday and Tuesday of each month are looking for a few additional cooks to help prepare part of the meal.
